The Gift of Grace

What is grace? Many have had difficulty understanding grace.  We know it with our heads, but do not have a true knowledge of it in our hearts.


Grace is defined in the dictionary as the free and unmerited favor of God, as manifested in the salvation of sinners and bestowals of blessings.

Heart, Hope, and Humanity in a Homeless Place

During a recent Harvesting Hope volunteer opportunity with Tarrant County Hands of Hope, a group of volunteers had an extended conversation with a man named Chicago.  Through the course of the conversation about food, discipline, family, and God, Chicago shared his personal testimony with the group.

Not too long ago someone asked me if I knew what Bae stood for. Confidently I said, "Yeah, it's short for baby." The person responded, "Yeah, but it means 'before anything else'."  I brushed the person off but thought about it later.

Spring into Action

As we approach spring, many of us are anticipating the warmth, beauty, and feel of the season.  This is a time of growth and renewal.  The sun is out, flowers are blooming, the newness of life is all around.  It is the time of picnics and barbecues, lemonade and strawberries.  Ahhhh...spring!  With all the bountiful beauty surrounding us, we should be motivated to share the beauty and love of God
